The problem with netflix.
I can only assume the crappy films put on Netflix as “instant play” are receiving some sort of monetary compensation for allowing their films to be presented in an “impulse-watch” situation. Possibly because they are so incredibly unpopular that they could never compensate losses in DVD sales.

flowing soumen noodles
Nagashi somen, 流しそうめん is a typical summer food to enjoy outside. Small bundles of somen noodles are sent down a ‘half-pipe’ (usually made of bamboo) flowing with cold water from a nearby clean brook or other clean water source. You pick them up with chopsticks as they flow past and dip them into a small bowl with soy sauce, herbs and spices for extra flavoring.
